How does that work? I'm sorry for being oblivious, but I'd like to be able to explain this to him.

You get the custom firmware on the wii. Then you download the ISO from some illegal place. Once downloaded, you just compile it and use DVDs or WFSB manager to place it on a USB stick or external harddrive.

So he could find the software for the games online. Could he rent the games and rip the software off the disc? Is that possible?

Uh I suppose, but I don't know if you need some kind of fancy drive/program to rip them discs and compile disc images.

Alright. Thanks for the info. I don't know how he'll feel about having to download things because he's pretty protective of his stuff and I'd imagine he'd be worried about viruses and such. But if you guys have done it and haven't had any problems, I guess it's ok, and if need be, you could inform me on safe sources for games?

is the best. however they do things through megaupload usually.

me and bayli have a subscription to it and use jdownloader so it downloads all the parts at once. safer than torrents.

like 10 bucks a month. we'll just buy one month and dl all the games we want.
