In this particular game, I don't think so! Aside from "exclusives" like Caterpie, Weedle, and their evolutions. I'm sure there are others I just can't remember them off the top of my head!

I had red, blue, yellow, gold, silver, and crystal. I think I only beat red, blue and gold. Best thing was the trick to get unlimited items in red and blue! Enough rare candies and master balls to get lvl 100 everything!
