E3 2011 Discussion

Gah what pissed me off is they had a 20 second clip of Aliens: Colonial Marines at the Wii U conference. I'm really looking forward to that game.

Why didn't they have an on stage demo at one of the events, or at least a demo walkthrough on G4?

...Oh yeah, I forgot.

ok Reggie and Sess just had a conversation and here is what we learned

Wii U is in 1080p
it IS a new console
they have strong faith in it

You know you've done a shitty job announcing a new console when the audience ponders if the product you just announced is a peripheral for an existing system.

Yeah, showing off existing game trailers and demos and such, but that's small potatoes. When I think E3, I think the big 3 press conferences. And all 3 were lacking this year.

It's not all necessarily existing stuff.

For example, maybe you'll see some new stuff from the Deus Ex booth set up on that Lucite table next to the Men's room.

:hahaha:

True, probably couldn't afford that coveted Men's room floor space.

Looks pretty cramped considering some of the heat issues 360 and PS3 had.

I'm still just furious over this new HORRIBLE Dante. In all honesty though, my biggest worry of the Team Ninja outsourcing was how shallow their previous games' combat has been. This looks a lot like the good ol DMC action I love. I'll give it a fair shake I reckon.
